The Corporate Committee aims to benefit both corporates and students by creating networking opportunities for the students, communicating technical information from the industry and organizing recruiting events for the companies. From Hack IoT, one of the first Internet of Things Hackathon on the west coast, to IEEE Industry Night, where students and recruiters are invited to a formal dinner to network - the Corporate Committee has been devoted to tailoring special events that help students transition to the professional corporate setting. Every semester, we reach out to the companies for events planning. From hackathons to workshops to technical talks; we always try to enrich the students life by bringing new elements from the corporate world - we will always continue trying.

Every month, IEEE at USC spotlights one of the following four areas of Electrical Engineering: (1) Communication, Control and Signal Processing, (2) Computer Engineering, (3) Electromagnetics and Solid State, and (4) Electronic Devices and Circuits. During each spotlight, we invite an industry representative as well as professor who does work in the designated area of Electrical Engineering. These speakers come to our general IEEE meetings and present cutting edge research and exciting industry opportunities to our members. It is a great way get involved with research and meet professors.

Our community outreach efforts seek to bring more volunteering opportunities to our members! We believe giving back to the community is fun and a critical part or our organization. In the past, we have helped out with Laser for Ladies, MESA Madness and College Day, setting up lab tours and a science fair for children in our local community, and Tailgate Recycling. We hope to collaborate with other Viterbi student organizations to introduce youth in our local community to educations in STEM.
